Frequently Asked Questions.

What’s the dress code?

Black tie optional is recommended. For men, a dark suit and tie is acceptable. For ladies, a floor length dress or a shorter, cocktail dress are acceptable options. The ceremony will be on the lawn that has turf. For ladies, heels without spikes may be the easiest to walk in. For men, feel free to wear a felt cowboy hat if your heart desires (however, we will ask you to remove it during the ceremony for those around you can see).

What is the anticipated weather?

In February Paradise Valley, Arizona traditionally is a high of mid 70s during the day and a low of 40-50s at night. We anticipate a lot of sunshine and beautiful weather that calls for only the occasional light jacket!

A few helpful hints:

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be outside on the lawn with the beautiful view of the mountains. The venue will provide heaters for the dinner and this typically suffices. However, if you tend to be more intolerant to the cold, a long-sleeved dress or a light jacket or shawl are recommended.

Are kids allowed to the wedding or to the reception?

No, while we love kids, we want to make sure everyone can have the best possible time, so we kindly ask that there be no children at the wedding.

How far away is the hotel with the room block?

The hotel is right across the street! There will be transportation to and from the hotel on the night of the wedding. If you plan to stay at another hotel, feel free to meet at mountain shadows and transport over with the rest of the guests!

Can I bring a plus one?

Please no plus ones unless indicated specifically on your invitation! We have put in a lot of time to make sure every seat and meal is prepared perfectly for the right number of people!
